Update on Daisy

Daisy the Cow's funds are slowly being spent on helping young students about the benefits of eating healthy school lunches. In January, nutritious samples will be given to kids during school lunches, cooked with a mobile kitchen at Albert Einstein Academies. A similar program sponsored by Whole Foods last Spring was quite successful. Students begged for more kale salad.

Some of the funds have also been spent in teaching 4rd-6th graders cooking in an after school program. The program is sponsored by Alchemy Restaurant in South Park.

Daisy is so happy to be in front of the wonderful smells of THE MISSION everyday. Her belly is getting full of money too. Daisy will meet with SDUSD Food Services soon to decide the best way to spend her money on a few area schools (North Park/South park).

Wow, Daisy collected $263 in the last few weeks at Urban Solace. She loved the attention on such a busy street.

Linkery

Daisy strolled down to the Linkery and smelled all the wonderful food. She's hanging out near the entrance happy as can be. The Linkery is at the corner of 30th and North Park Way in North Park.

Sea Rocket Bistro

My new home... Sea Rocket Bistro and I'm glad I like the smell of great food.
I am on 30th, near the corner of Upas in North Park.
I'll be here until the end of the month so come visit me often.

Daisy starts her mission

Today, Daisy was brought from the sculpture classroom at City College to the City's Urban Farm (Seeds at City). The farmers Paul and Julia and all the apprentices helped bring Daisy to South Park. Tonight you can find Daisy at Alchemy, a wonderful restaurant at the corner of Beach and 30th.
